great location but small bathroom
The location near hiking spots is fantastic for outdoor enthusiasts. The food quality exceeded my expectations, especially the full English breakfast that was a perfect start for my hikes.
The bathroom in the room was quite small, making it a little inconvenient.

The food at Patterdale's restaurant is a mixed bag—breakfast was a decent spread to kickstart the day, but dinner definitely needed some extra love! The young lady on reception recalling our last visit was a heartwarming touch. You can’t beat the location right by the stunning Patterdale Lake.

Dotted with stunning views of the Lake District, the location brings a cozy charm that draws outdoor enthusiasts. Rooms offer a snug comfort that is inviting after a long hike, with all facilities functioning adequately for a relaxing stay.
The atmosphere can get quite lively, especially with noise from entertainment in the bar, which could disrupt an early night after a day outdoors. Breakfast timing at 8 AM may pose a challenge for those eager to hit the trails sooner, and parking can be troublesome for those with heavy luggage, especially with overflow arrangements. Unfortunately, some rooms show signs of wear, needing a little TLC to address dated decor and shower leaks.
